Campaigns
Any organisation that acts as the voice of victims of crime has to undertake campaigning activity to challenge policy, increase understanding and improve provision for victims of stalking. Action Against Stalking is an organisation whose roots lie in successful campaign to get stalking and its impact recognised in law to better protect victims.
Action Against Stalking campaigns continuously for the rights of victims of stalking.
Through National Stalking Awareness Week in April each year we seek to educate policy makers, legislators, influencers, opinion formers and the wider public on a range of stalking related topics including:
-
How to support victims of stalking
-
The law relating to stalking
-
How to challenge stalking effectively
-
Reporting stalking to the police
-
Recognising stalking behaviours
-
Stalking is not a joke.
As part of NSAW, Action Against Stalking run events and social media campaigns around a designated theme so be sure to follow us across our socials and sign up for our newsletter here.
National Stalking Awareness Week 2025
NSAW 2025 (April 21-25th) will focus on Healthcare providers spotting the signs of stalking to ensure early and effective support. As part of this, we have some exciting new projects underway. Check them out below!

For change to happen, we must all work together.
This year, our campaign is dedicated to improving the recognition of and response to stalking victims across the healthcare sector. Our primary focus is on equipping healthcare professionals and Community Link Workers with the knowledge and tools needed to identify the often-overlooked signs of stalking, provide compassionate support, and direct victims to appropriate resources.
Below is a list of materials and resources that your organisation can download and share:
Key Messages:
-
Stalking leaves victims with long-lasting psychological impacts that can manifest as physical symptoms. The root cause of these feelings must be understood and addressed to ensure both physical and psychological effects are reduced.
-
Stalking is a public health issue so Healthcare professionals must be equipped with the knowledge to spot the signs of stalking, including 'Recognise, Respond and Refer' to ensure patients are supported at the right time and by the right people.
-
Establishing safe referral pathways with appropriate organisations is crucial for providing patients with timely and effective support, ultimately enhancing health outcomes and overall well-being.
-
Stalking can take place at home, outside in public and in the workplace, so anti-stalking policies and protocols must be implemented to protect staff and patients.
-
Action Against Stalking is here to assist organisations that wish to establish an anti-stalking policy. We offer consultations, training and awareness-raising sessions to best equip staff with the knowledge to spot the signs of stalking.
